Ordering your Prescription
Patients can order repeat prescriptions either by telephone on 0191 5675571 (select option 2 when you hear the message), between the hours of 10am and 12 noon, or by calling at the reception.
Always allow 48 working hours for your repeat prescriptions to be ready for collection.
If you find it difficult to attend the surgery or telephone due to obligations you can send us your prescription request by post and if you enclose a stamped addressed envelope we will be happy to return this to you.
Please understand however we cannot be held responsible for the timescales involved with this process.
You can also order your repeat prescriptions online please ask at reception.
Electronic Prescription Service
You can now order your prescription from the Surgery and have it sent electronically to the Pharmacy which you find most convenient to use; you will still need to give 48 hours notice.
Tell Reception the name of the Pharmacy you want to use and they will record it and set the process in motion.
It is safer there is no paper copy, you don’t need to go to the Practice to pick-up your Prescriptions, saving you time, and since the new system was put in place prescriptions are reaching pharmacies far quicker resulting in a huge reduction in delays, a bonus for the Practice.
